Material 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. This alloy features an added titanium content (0.7%), which enhances its stability and provides excellent resistance to carbide precipitation at elevated temperatures, along with strong oxidation resistance.
This stainless steel grade maintains its strength and corrosion resistance at both high and sub-zero temperatures, making it suitable for a range of applications such as oil refining equipment and automotive exhaust systems. It can be used continuously in dry air environments at temperatures up to 850ºC.
AISI 321 is the preferred alloy for applications requiring strength, scaling resistance, phase stability, and resistance to aqueous corrosion at temperatures up to approximately 900°C.
