Grade 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. With an added 0.7% titanium content, this material offers enhanced stability and resistance to carbide precipitation and oxidation at elevated temperatures.
This austenitic stainless steel maintains excellent strength and corrosion resistance even in high-temperature environments, and it also remains tough at sub-zero temperatures. These properties make it suitable for a broad range of applications, from oil refining equipment to automotive exhaust systems. The maximum operating temperature in dry air is 850ºC.
AISI 321 is the preferred choice for applications in temperatures up to approximately 900°C, offering a combination of high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against subsequent aqueous corrosion.
