Grade 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. Its key feature is the addition of titanium (0.7%), which stabilizes the steel, enhances its resistance to carbide precipitation at elevated temperatures, and improves oxidation resistance.
This austenitic stainless steel maintains excellent strength and corrosion resistance even at high temperatures and retains its mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures. As a result, it is well-suited for diverse applications, from oil refinery equipment to automotive exhaust systems. This grade can withstand dry air service temperatures up to 850°C.
AISI 321 is ideal for use in environments up to approximately 900°C, offering high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against aqueous corrosion.
