The 1.4541 material is a heat-resistant, titanium-stabilized stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. Its added titanium content (0.7%) enhances stability and provides excellent resistance to carbide precipitation at elevated temperatures, as well as strong oxidation resistance.
This grade maintains good strength and corrosion resistance even when exposed to high temperatures and remains tough at very low temperatures. Its versatility makes it suitable for applications such as oil refining equipment and automotive exhaust systems. The maximum recommended service temperature in dry air is 850°C.
AISI 321 is the preferred alloy for applications up to around 900°C, offering a combination of high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against aqueous corrosion.
