Material 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. Thanks to its added titanium content (0.7%), it is stabilized against carbide precipitation at high temperatures and offers excellent resistance to oxidation.
This stainless steel grade maintains its strength and corrosion resistance under high temperatures, and, like most austenitic grades, it also remains tough and durable even at sub-zero temperatures. Its versatility makes it suitable for applications such as oil refining equipment and automotive exhaust systems. The maximum operating temperature in dry air is 850°C.
AISI 321 is the preferred alloy for applications up to approximately 900°C, offering high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.
