Material 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. It contains an additional 0.7% titanium, which stabilizes the material, enhancing its resistance to carbide precipitation and oxidation at elevated temperatures.
This stainless steel grade maintains excellent strength and corrosion resistance under high temperatures and also preserves its toughness at sub-zero conditions. It is ideal for a range of applications, including oil refining equipment and automotive exhaust systems. 1.4541 can perform in dry air environments up to 850ºC.
AISI 321 is especially suitable for applications up to around 900 °C, offering high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against corrosion in aqueous environments.
