Material 1.4541 is a heat-resistant alloy widely used in various industries. Its key feature is the addition of titanium (0.7%), which stabilizes the alloy and enhances its resistance to carbide precipitation at elevated temperatures, along with excellent oxidation resistance.
This grade of stainless steel maintains its strength and corrosion resistance under high temperatures and remains tough even at low temperatures. It is ideal for a range of applications, from oil refinery equipment to automotive exhaust systems, and can be used in dry air at temperatures up to 850°C.
AISI 321 is the preferred alloy for applications up to approximately 900°C, offering high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against aqueous corrosion after exposure to heat.
