Material 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used across various industries. Its standout feature is the addition of 0.7% titanium, which enhances stability, prevents carbide precipitation at high temperatures, and improves oxidation resistance.
This grade maintains excellent strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, and, like other austenitic steels, keeps its toughness even at sub-zero temperatures. Its versatility makes it suitable for applications such as oil refining equipment and automotive exhaust systems. The maximum service temperature in dry air is 850°C.
AISI 321 is ideal for use in temperatures up to approximately 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against subsequent aqueous corrosion.
