Material 1.4541 is a heat-resistant stainless steel alloy widely used in various industries. Its key feature is the addition of 0.7% titanium, which stabilizes the steel, prevents carbide precipitation at high temperatures, and enhances its oxidation resistance.
This stainless steel grade maintains excellent strength and corrosion resistance under high temperatures and retains toughness even at sub-zero temperatures. Its versatility makes it suitable for applications such as oil refining equipment and automotive exhaust systems. The maximum recommended service temperature in dry air is 850ºC.
AISI 321, which corresponds to 1.4541, is especially suited for use in temperatures up to approximately 900°C. It offers a combination of high strength, resistance to scaling, phase stability, and protection against subsequent corrosion in aqueous environments.
