The brass round bar (material number 2.0401, CuZn39Pb3, Ms58) is a precision-cut product with a length tolerance of +/-2mm. Please note: the ends of sawn bars can be sharp and not deburred—actual supplied bars may look different from the production length images. This brass round bar contains approximately 57-59% copper, 2.5-3.5% lead, and the remainder is mainly zinc. It is highly machinable and easy to hot form, while its hardness and strength increase with cold forming. However, cold deformation is limited due to possible stress corrosion cracking. The bar is suitable for soft and hard soldering, mechanical polishing, stamping, and punching, but not for electrolytic or chemical polishing. Brass round bar is ready for immediate shipment (2-3 working days for preparation), and delivery time depends on the parcel service. Weldability is limited—manual arc, gas, TIG, and MIG welding are not recommended; resistance welding is preferred. Corrosion resistance is relatively low, especially against water, salt solutions, and organic liquids. Typical applications include fittings, tap handles, screws, nuts, valve bodies, electrical engineering parts, mechanical engineering components, cable clamps, and ballpoint pen tips.
