The brass round bar (material number 2.0401, CuZn39Pb3 / Ms58) is an alloy of copper (approx. 57-59%), lead (approx. 2.5-3.5%) and zinc (approx. 36-40%). This grade is easily hot formable, with high hardness and strength achieved through cold forming, though cold workability is limited due to potential stress corrosion cracking. The bar offers excellent machinability and is suitable for both soft and hard soldering. It is easy to stamp and can be mechanically polished, but is not suitable for electrolytic or chemical polishing.
