This brass round bar (material number 2.0401, CuZn39Pb3, Ms58) contains approximately 57-59% copper, 2.5-3.5% lead, and the remainder is zinc. The alloy is easily hot-formable, but high hardness and strength are achieved through cold working, which is limited due to the risk of stress corrosion. It offers excellent machinability and is suitable for both soft and hard soldering, as well as mechanical polishing (not suitable for electrolytic or chemical polishing).
