Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature applications. It contains approximately 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese. This material stands out for its excellent mechanical properties at both low and high temperatures, up to 1050°C. Inconel 600 offers outstanding heat and corrosion resistance, and performs well in chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride environments up to about 500–550°C. Alloy 2.4816 is also highly resistant to nitriding and carburizing conditions as well as stress corrosion cracking. Please note that this material cannot be hardened.
