Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature applications. It contains about 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, offering excellent mechanical strength at both low and high temperatures—up to 1050°C. This alloy stands out for its high heat and corrosion resistance. It performs well in chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride environments up to around 500-550°C, and also resists nitriding, carburizing, and stress corrosion cracking. The material is not hardenable.
Evek GmbH is your trusted supplier for Alloy 600. We provide high-quality nickel alloys at competitive prices, with worldwide shipping available.
Inconel 600 is widely used in industrial furnace manufacturing, including for furnace seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is chosen for plant components used in the production of chlorine and fluorine compounds. Additional applications for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive industry (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for storing alkaline solutions
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
