Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature use. It includes around 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, delivering excellent mechanical strength across a wide temperature range up to 1050°C. This alloy stands out for its outstanding heat and corrosion resistance, and it performs well against chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride up to about 500-550°C. In addition, grade 2.4816 resists nitriding, carburizing environments, and stress corrosion cracking. It is not hardenable.
