Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature environments. It contains approximately 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, offering excellent mechanical strength at both low and high temperatures up to 1050°C. This material is highly resistant to heat and corrosion, and performs well in chlorine and hydrogen chloride atmospheres up to about 500-550°C. Alloy 2.4816 is also resistant to nitriding, carburizing, and stress corrosion cracking, but it cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
Evek GmbH is your trusted supplier for Alloy 600, providing top-quality nickel alloys at competitive prices with worldwide shipping.
Inconel 600 is widely used in industrial furnace construction, including seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is suitable for plant components involved in the production of chlorine and fluorine compounds. Additional uses for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive industry (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solution storage
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
