Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature applications. It contains approximately 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, offering excellent mechanical strength at both low and high temperatures—up to 1050°C. This alloy stands out for its high resistance to heat and corrosion. It also performs well in the presence of chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride up to about 500-550°C. Alloy 2.4816 is resistant to carburizing and nitriding environments as well as stress corrosion cracking. It is not hardenable by heat treatment.
Evek GmbH is your trusted supplier for Alloy 600. We provide top-quality nickel alloys at competitive prices with worldwide delivery.
Inconel 600 is widely used in the construction of industrial furnaces, where it is made into seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is used for plant components, especially for manufacturing chlorine and fluorine compounds. Additional uses for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive industry (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solution storage
- Reactor construction
