Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for use at high temperatures. With approximately 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, this material delivers strong mechanical performance both at low and elevated temperatures up to 1050°C. It offers excellent heat and corrosion resistance, and withstands chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride exposure up to about 500-550°C. 2.4816 also resists nitriding, carburizing environments, and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy is not hardenable.
Evek GmbH is your trusted supplier for Alloy 600, offering high-quality nickel alloys at competitive prices with worldwide shipping.
Inconel 600 is widely used in industrial furnace manufacturing for components such as furnace seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is ideal for plant parts in chlorine and fluorine production. Additional uses for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive applications (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solution storage
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
