Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature use. It contains roughly 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese. This material stands out for its excellent mechanical properties at both low and high temperatures, up to 1050 °C. It offers outstanding heat and corrosion resistance, and maintains good resistance to chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride at temperatures up to 500-550 °C. Additionally, alloy 2.4816 performs well in nitriding and carburizing environments and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking. Please note that it cannot be hardened.
Evek GmbH is a trusted supplier of Alloy 600, offering premium nickel alloys at competitive prices with global shipping.
Inconel 600 is widely used in industrial furnace manufacturing, including for furnace seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, alloy 2.4816 is ideal for equipment involved in the production of chlorine and fluorine compounds. Other common applications for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive industry (seals, high-temperature sensors);
- Containers for alkaline solution storage;
- Reactor construction;
- Engine manufacturing.
