Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature applications. It contains about 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, offering excellent mechanical strength in both low and high temperatures up to 1050°C. The alloy is highly resistant to heat and corrosion, and demonstrates strong resistance to chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride at temperatures up to 500-550°C. Grade 2.4816 also withstands nitriding or carburizing environments and stress corrosion cracking. This material cannot be hardened.
Evek GmbH is a trusted supplier of Alloy 600, offering premium nickel alloys at competitive prices with worldwide shipping.
Inconel 600 is widely used in industrial furnace construction, including furnace housing seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is ideal for components in plants producing chlorine and fluorine compounds. Other applications for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solution storage
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
