Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed to withstand high temperatures. It contains about 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese. This material is known for its excellent mechanical properties at both low and high temperatures, up to 1050 °C. It offers outstanding heat and corrosion resistance, and maintains stability in environments with chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride up to around 500-550 °C. 2.4816 also performs well in nitriding or carburizing atmospheres and resists stress corrosion cracking. This alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
Evek GmbH is your trusted source for Alloy 600, providing premium nickel alloys at competitive prices and shipping worldwide.
Inconel 600 is commonly used in the construction of industrial furnaces, making seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical sector, 2.4816 is ideal for plant components, especially those involved in the production of chlorine and fluorine compounds. Other applications for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solution storage
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
