Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for use at high temperatures. It contains around 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese, offering excellent mechanical strength at both low and high temperatures up to 1050°C. The alloy stands out for its superior resistance to heat and corrosion, and it performs well in chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride atmospheres up to about 500–550°C. Grade 2.4816 is also resistant to nitriding and carburizing environments, as well as stress corrosion cracking. This material cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
Evek GmbH is your trusted supplier of Alloy 600. We offer premium nickel alloys at competitive prices and deliver worldwide.
Inconel 600 is widely used in the construction of industrial furnaces, including seals for furnace housings, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is ideal for components exposed to chlorine and fluorine production. Other uses for Alloy 600 include:
- Automotive applications (seals, high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solutions
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
Main features of Inconel 600:
