Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy designed for high-temperature applications, containing around 1.5% cobalt and 1% manganese. This alloy offers excellent mechanical strength at both low and high temperatures up to 1050 °C, along with outstanding resistance to heat and corrosion. It resists chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride up to about 500-550 °C and performs well in nitriding or carburizing environments, as well as against stress corrosion cracking. Please note that this material cannot be hardened.
Evek GmbH is your trusted supplier for Alloy 600, providing quality nickel alloys at competitive prices with worldwide delivery.
Common applications for Inconel 600 include industrial furnace construction, where it is used for seals, transport rollers, and muffles. In the chemical industry, 2.4816 is ideal for components involved in chlorine and fluorine compound production. Other uses include:
- Automotive parts (such as seals and high-temperature sensors)
- Containers for alkaline solutions
- Reactor construction
- Engine manufacturing
