Inconel® 600 is a high-temperature nickel-chromium-iron alloy known for its excellent resistance to nitriding, carburizing, and oxidizing environments. This material withstands acids such as acetic, formic, hydrofluoric, and fatty acids, as well as ammonia, chlorine, and hydrogen chloride (up to about 500°C). Alloy 600 offers strong resistance to stress corrosion cracking and maintains good mechanical properties across a broad temperature range, from low temperatures up to a maximum of 1050°C. Its high nickel content ensures stability in reducing conditions, and the alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
Evek GmbH Online Shop offers high-quality Inconel® 600 with superior customer support, making us your trusted source for nickel-based alloys.
Due to its outstanding heat resistance, Inconel® 600 is primarily used in furnace construction for components such as transport rollers and seals. It is also ideal for reactor construction, including reactor vessels and steam dryers. Thanks to its resistance to alkaline solutions, this alloy is commonly used in tubs and piping. Other applications include:
- Plant equipment for producing chlorine, hydrogen chloride, and fluorine
- Automotive industry (e.g., high-temperature sensors, airbag bursting discs)
- Vinyl chloride manufacturing (reaction vessels, heat exchangers)
- Catalysis generators
Key properties of Inconel® 600 include:
