Inconel® 625 (material number 2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel-based alloy containing chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, crevice, erosion, and intergranular corrosion, and is highly resistant to chlorine-induced stress corrosion. Inconel® 625 also withstands mineral acids such as nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as organic acids and alkalis. The alloy is known for its excellent mechanical properties.
