Inconel® 625 (2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel-based alloy containing chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion. This alloy is highly resistant to chlorine-induced stress corrosion and remains stable in contact with both mineral acids (nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, sulfuric) and organic acids, as well as alkalis. In addition to its excellent corrosion resistance, Inconel 625 possesses strong mechanical properties.
