Inconel® 625 (also known as 2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel alloy enhanced with chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. This material offers outstanding resistance to multiple forms of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion. It is also highly resistant to chlorine-induced stress corrosion and maintains its strength and corrosion resistance in the presence of mineral acids such as nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as organic acids and alkalis.
