Inconel® 625 (2.4856) is a nickel-based, low-carbon alloy containing chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, crevice, erosion, and intergranular corrosion, as well as resistance to chlorine-induced stress corrosion. This alloy performs well against mineral acids like nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as organic acids and alkalis. It also features excellent mechanical strength.
