Inconel® 625 (2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel-based alloy containing chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion, and is highly resistant to chlorine-induced stress corrosion cracking. This alloy also withstands attack from mineral acids such as nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as organic acids and alkalis. In addition, Alloy 625 features excellent mechanical properties.
