Inconel® 625 (2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel-based alloy that includes chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice corrosion, and intergranular corrosion. The alloy is also highly resistant to chlorine-induced stress corrosion and demonstrates excellent performance against both mineral acids (such as nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids) and organic acids, as well as alkalis. In addition, Inconel® 625 provides good mechanical strength.
