Inconel® 625 (2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel alloy that contains chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers excellent resistance to various forms of corrosion, such as pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion. The alloy is also resistant to stress corrosion caused by chlorine. Inconel 625 remains stable when exposed to both mineral acids (including nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids) and organic acids or alkalis. It is well-known for its strong mechanical properties.
