Inconel® 625 (also known as alloy 2.4856) is a nickel-based, low-carbon alloy that contains chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. This material is highly resistant to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion, and is not affected by chlorine-induced stress corrosion. It withstands mineral acids like nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as organic acids and alkalis, and offers strong mechanical properties.
