Inconel® 625 (2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel-based alloy containing chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to various types of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion. The alloy is also highly resistant to stress corrosion caused by chlorine, and it performs well in environments with mineral acids such as nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as in organic acids and alkalis. Additionally, it features strong mechanical properties.
