Inconel® 625 (alloy 2.4856) is a low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy known for its outstanding resistance to various forms of corrosion, including pitting, erosion, crevice, and intergranular corrosion. It also withstands chlorine-induced stress corrosion and demonstrates strong resistance to mineral acids like nitric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acids, as well as organic acids and alkalis.
