Known as CuZn39Pb3, this alloy is widely used for machining applications in Germany and is ideal for high-speed automatic machines. The material can be easily punched and hot-formed, though it has limited cold formability due to potential stress corrosion cracking. Cold forming increases hardness and strength, while corrosion resistance remains relatively low.
