Delivery times depend on the chosen parcel service—please refer to our FAQ for further details. The 1.3912 sheet is made from an austenitic iron-nickel alloy, containing about 61% iron and 36% nickel, with additional elements such as manganese, cobalt, carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, chromium, and silicon. Invar 36 plate is known for its exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion, high ductility, and toughness. Cold forming further decreases the material’s thermal expansion. This alloy maintains good strength even at cryogenic temperatures and is ferromagnetic below its Curie temperature, becoming non-magnetic above this point.Applications for 1.3912 sheet include the production and storage of liquefied gases, precision timekeeping devices like pendulum clocks and chronometers, as well as components for measuring equipment. It’s also used in the manufacture of OLED screen components, aviation and aerospace parts (such as CFRP components and electronic control unit frames), optical and laser system housings, low-temperature applications, and astronomical or seismographic instruments.Key properties of 1.3912 sheet: - Extremely low thermal expansion - High ductility and toughness - Suitable for cold forming - Strong performance at cryogenic temperatures - Ferromagnetic below the Curie temperature; non-magnetic aboveEvek GmbH offers high-quality 1.3912 (Invar 36) plate at competitive prices, with reliable worldwide delivery and a commitment to saving you time and money.
