Please note: Sheet metal cuts are intended for industrial use and are not suitable for decorative or visible applications, as surface scratches may be present. The material is supplied in raw industrial quality and cut with guillotine shears; not all sheets come with protective film. If surface finish is important for your project, please contact us before ordering so we can assist you.Length tolerance is +/-2 mm.Production time is typically 2-3 weeks, with an additional 2-3 working days for shipping preparation. Delivery times depend on the courier; please refer to our FAQ for details.1.3912 (Invar 36) sheet is made from an austenitic iron-nickel alloy, containing approximately 61% iron and 36% nickel, with small amounts of manganese, cobalt, carbon, sulphur, phosphorus, chromium, and silicon. This alloy is known for its extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, excellent ductility, and toughness. Cold forming further reduces its thermal expansion. It maintains good strength at cryogenic temperatures and is ferromagnetic below the Curie temperature, becoming non-magnetic above it.Typical applications for 1.3912 sheet include the production and storage of liquefied gases, precision pendulum clocks, chronometers, measuring devices, OLED screen components, aviation (especially CFRP components), aerospace (frames for electronic control units), optical and laser systems (such as laser housings), parts for low-temperature environments, as well as astronomical and seismographic instruments.Key properties of 1.3912 (Invar 36) sheet: - Exceptionally low thermal expansion - High ductility and toughness - Suitable for cold forming - Good strength at very low temperatures - Ferromagnetic below the Curie temperature, non-magnetic aboveWe offer high-quality Invar 36 sheets at competitive prices. As a trusted supplier of nickel alloys, we provide reliable and efficient worldwide delivery, helping you save time and money on your projects.
