Please note: Sheet metal cuts are intended for industrial use and are not suitable for decorative or visible applications, as scratches and surface imperfections may be present. The sheets are cut using guillotine shears, and not all pieces are supplied with protective film. If surface quality is important for your project, please contact us to discuss possible solutions.Length tolerance is +/-2mm.Key details: - Production time: 2-3 weeks - Shipping preparation: 2-3 business days - Delivery time depends on the parcel service – see FAQs for more details1.3912 sheet (Invar 36) is made from an austenitic iron-nickel alloy containing approximately 61% iron and 36% nickel, along with manganese, cobalt, carbon, sulphur, phosphorus, chromium, and silicon. This material is known for its extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, high ductility, and toughness. Cold forming further reduces its thermal expansion. It maintains good strength at cryogenic temperatures and is ferromagnetic below the Curie temperature, becoming non-magnetic above it.Typical applications for 1.3912 sheet include: - Production and storage of liquefied gases - Manufacturing precision pendulum clocks, chronometers, and measuring instruments - Components for OLED screens - Aviation (CFRP components) - Aerospace (frames for electronic control units) - Optical and laser systems (laser housings) - Low-temperature applications - Astronomical and seismographic instrumentsMain characteristics: - Exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion - High ductility and toughness - Suitable for cold forming - Good strength at low temperatures - Ferromagnetic below Curie temperature; non-magnetic aboveWe offer high-quality Invar 36 plates at competitive prices and provide reliable, efficient worldwide delivery.
