This alloy is known for its exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion, high ductility, and toughness. Cold forming further reduces its thermal expansion rate. The material retains good strength even at cryogenic temperatures and is ferromagnetic below its Curie point, becoming non-magnetic above it.1.3912 sheet is commonly used in the production and storage of liquefied gases, as well as in precision pendulum clocks, chronometers, and other measuring devices.
