Its composition includes 88.74–91.0% titanium, 5.5–6.75% aluminum, 3.5–4.5% vanadium, and a small amount of hydrogen (about 0.015%). This alloy is age-hardenable (up to 25 mm thickness), offering excellent hot formability and weldability. It stands out for its strong resistance to corrosion, even in seawater, and combines high strength with good toughness at a low density.
