Nitronic 60 is a high-alloy austenitic chromium-nickel steel enhanced with approximately 4% silicon and 7% manganese. The primary component is iron, with chromium and nickel contents of about 17% and 8% respectively. Also known as Alloy 218, this material is recognized for its exceptional wear resistance, strong mechanical properties, and outstanding corrosion resistance. It maintains good hardness even in the annealed condition.
