Nitronic 60 is a high-alloy austenitic chromium-nickel steel, enhanced with approximately 4% silicon and 7% manganese. Its base is iron, with chromium and nickel contents of about 17% and 8%, respectively. Known as Alloy 218, this material stands out for its excellent wear resistance, strong mechanical properties, and outstanding corrosion resistance. It also maintains good hardness even in its annealed state.
