Inconel® 718 is a precipitation-hardenable alloy mainly composed of nickel, chromium, and iron, with niobium, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium as additional elements. These alloying elements provide excellent hardenability. In the solution-annealed state, 2.4668 is easy to form and process, offering outstanding corrosion resistance in both high and low temperature environments. The material is resistant to pitting and stress corrosion cracking, features high creep and fatigue strength, is easy to weld, and maintains good oxidation resistance up to 1000°C.
