Inconel® 718 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with added niobium, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium, making it age-hardenable. Thanks to niobium, titanium, and aluminum, this grade can be hardened. In its solution-annealed state, 2.4668 is easy to form and process. It offers excellent corrosion resistance at both high and low temperatures, is resistant to pitting and stress corrosion cracking, and has outstanding creep strength and fatigue resistance. Inconel® 718 is also very weldable and maintains good oxidation resistance up to 1000°C.
