Inconel® 718 is a precipitation-hardenable alloy composed mainly of nickel, chromium, and iron, with niobium, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium as additional elements. The combination of niobium, titanium, and aluminum makes the alloy hardenable. In its solution-annealed state, Inconel 718 (2.4668) is easy to form and process. This material stands out for its excellent corrosion resistance at both high and low temperatures, and is highly resistant to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. It also offers exceptional creep rupture strength, high fatigue strength, easy weldability, and good oxidation resistance up to 1000 °C.
Evek GmbH supplies Inconel® 718 worldwide, ensuring a secure and straightforward purchasing process. We are your dependable partner for premium nickel alloys.
Inconel® 718 is widely used in the aerospace industry for manufacturing engines, gas turbines, and housings. It is also valued in offshore technology, marine equipment, the oil and gas sector, nuclear reactors, and for producing springs and high-strength fasteners.
