Inconel® 718 is a nickel-based, age-hardenable alloy containing chromium and iron, with added niobium, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium. These elements enable the alloy to be hardened. When solution-annealed, grade 2.4668 is easy to form and process. It offers excellent corrosion resistance at both high and low temperatures, and is resistant to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. The material has superior creep strength, high fatigue resistance, outstanding weldability, and withstands oxidation up to 1000°C.
