Haynes 263 is a nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy that can be age-hardened. It is designed for excellent workability in the annealed state and high strength after age-hardening. Compared to similar materials like Waspaloy or Rene 41, Haynes 263 is easier to weld and form, with outstanding ductility at medium temperatures. Supplied in the annealed condition, it is suitable for both hot and cold forming. The alloy can be welded using TIG or MIG methods with suitable welding wire.
Evek GmbH offers Haynes 263 alloy and ships internationally. As a trusted supplier, we ensure safe and convenient delivery for a wide range of materials.
Main features of Haynes 263:
- High strength at both room and elevated temperatures, suitable for demanding environments
- Excellent oxidation resistance up to 980°C, making it ideal for turbines and other high-temperature applications
- Relatively easy to weld compared to other superalloys, simplifying manufacturing and repairs
Typical applications of Haynes 263 include:
- Aerospace: Aircraft and rocket engine components such as combustion chambers, thrust nozzles, and afterburners
- Gas turbines: Turbine blades, disks, and other parts exposed to high temperatures and stresses
- Chemical industry: Reactors, heat exchangers, and systems operating in corrosive and oxidizing environments
