Alloy C276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with added tungsten, plus small amounts of carbon and silicon. This material is ideal for both cold and hot forming processes. It offers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion. Grade 2.4819 is highly resistant to mineral and organic acids, as well as to seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. The alloy also features good weldability and is compatible with all common welding methods.
