Alloy C276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum material enhanced with tungsten, and contains minor amounts of carbon and silicon. This alloy is highly suitable for both cold and hot forming processes. It delivers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Known as 2.4819, it is unaffected by mineral and organic acids, as well as resistant to seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. The alloy offers excellent weldability and can be joined using all standard welding techniques.
