Alloy C276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum material with added tungsten, plus small amounts of carbon and silicon. It is suitable for both cold and hot forming and offers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion. Known as 2.4819, this alloy stands up well against mineral and organic acids, seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. It also features good weldability and is compatible with all standard welding methods.
